Was als niedliches Quietscheentchen daherkommt, wirft beim zweiten Blick die Frage auf, ob Recycling wirklich die Lösung ist.
Während die EU mit Verboten versucht den Plastikmüll zu reduzieren, sind die Hersteller erfindungsreich. So wird aus Einwegbesteck schwupps Mehrwegbesteck.
Derweil exportieren wir fröhlich unseren Plastikmüll, der dann als recycelt gilt, in ferne Länder. Dort wird der Müll teils im freien Feld verbrannt oder landet irgendwo in der Natur.
Vom Dinosaurier zum Erdöl, zum Plastikprodukt und dann? Am Ende landet Mikroplastik überall, auch in uns. Guten Appetit!
Ich warte auf den Tag, an dem auch Weintrauben oder Heidelbeeren einzeln verpackt werden… Ironie aus!

What looks like a cute little rubber ducky raises the question of whether recycling is really the answer.
While the EU is trying to reduce plastic waste through bans, manufacturers are inventive. Disposable cutlery becomes reusable cutlery in no time at all.
Meanwhile, we export our plastic waste, which is then considered recycled, to faraway countries. Some of the waste is burned in open fields or ends up somewhere in nature.
From dinosaur to crude oil, to plastic product and then? In the end, microplastics end up everywhere, including in us. Bon appétit!
