Die Idee für den Kiwi lieferte mir eine liebe Freundin, die bezaubernde Geschichten für Ihren Sohn schrieb. Ihre Schwester lebt inzwischen in Neuseeland. Für mich ein Sehnsuchtsort – allein schon, weil ich Schafe sehr mag. Im Laufe der Zeit entwickelte ich eine digitate Illustration.

Wer mich kennt, weiß um meine Liebe zu Wortspielen und zu Sprachen. Und da ich doppeldeutige Wörter liebe, trifft hier der Kiwi-Vogel auf die aufgeschnittene Frucht. Elegant gleitet er im Mondschein auf seinen Schlittschuhen durch die Nacht.

The idea for the kiwi came from a dear friend of mine who wrote enchanting stories for her son. Her sister lives in New Zealand these days. For me, it’s a place I long to visit—if only because I really like sheep. Over time, I developed a digital illustration.

Those who know me are aware of my love for wordplay and languages. And since I love words with double meanings, the kiwi bird meets the cut fruit here. With elegance, the bird glides through the night on its skates in the moonlight.
