Dass ich Dinge gerne wörtlich nehme, dürfte recht schnell auffallen. Was soll man einer immer verrückter werdenden Welt auch noch entgegensetzen? In meinem Fall Humor. Wenn ich auch nur einigen Betrachtenden ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubere, ist meine Mission erfüllt.
Die Käseplatte entstand auf Basis einer anderen Illustration und hat sich eher zufällig ergeben, musste aber trotz Plattwitzgefahr raus.
Der Musiktitel lieferte sich praktisch ebenfalls von selbst – und jetzt VORSICHT Ohrwurmgefahr – Hier fliegen gleich die Löcher aus dem Käse. Die Wurstplatte ist in Arbeit.

Kennen Sie noch die guten alten Käseplatten? Hier in einer kulinarischen Sonderversion als Abwandlung einer Schallplatte. Vinyl ist ja in jedem Fall ein echtes Statement. In einer rasanten Welt einfach mal wieder etwas Echtes. In diesem Sinne: Mahlzeit, nicht nur für Musikliebhaber.

The idea for this digital illustration – called “Käseplatte” – came up while working on my “Grenade Sheep”. In German we have many words that can be misunderstood or have different meanings. For example, nouns can be combined. In English hot dog is perhaps a good example. It can refer to the delicious food or a heated dog.
Back to the „Käseplatte“. Platte means e.g. a vinyl record (short form for Schallplatte) and Käse means cheese. So I combined these to a cheesy vinyl record with a bit of decoration. I think we all need a bit more things to make us smile these days…

In German you can combine nouns (in English Hotdog might be a good example or apple). There is one word for a cheese platter that also can be misunderstood as cheese Vinyl record. Welcome to my Special Vinyl Lover Culinary Art on a turntable. Enjoy your meal with music – not only for music lovers.
